Well, let's talk about 9-hour live set!

The scientific and educational festival "Tushite Svet" ("Turn off the Light" from russian language) was @ Chernogolovka town and it's been more than successful. and I was very pleased to take part in it all, but as usual for Chernogolovka without Dubree's help it would not have gone as smoothly as it gone all the way through the end.

At the beginnig we got to the location 15-20 minutes before the start and with a delay of 10 minutes I turned the volume on. I remember clearly that the first hour I played just on a spree and in some places I was completely disconnected from what was going on around me, and the activity was still smooth at the festival.

But the further I played, the more something started to happen, people came up, but in general it didn't distract me too much - I was absorbed in the live almost all the time and put as much as possible into the music when I had the strength to do it.

Of course, there were moments when everything was slack, it's very hard to imagine that a musician can play 9 hours at the level without stopping, and I had these hang-ups from time to time in the first half of the live (honestly, they were not so many), but then something in my head clicked and I completely stopped perceiving what was going on at the level of distractions and just smiled at everyone and turned knobs, pressed keys, rang bells, blew on the flute and played kalimba, but mostly on guitar for the last three hours.

At the end it was so chill and cozy that I went for a walk with Dubree and listened to it all from the side (recorded loop was played from the speakers) and was glad that it sounds very good. in general I would attend such a concert myself, not all of it, of course, but at least part of it (!).

and then the natural question arises, how can you chop for 9 hours of liveset without the usual needs?
In the case of the WC I had a random arpeggiator from a MicroKORG at that moment, running through my whole kitchen (pedal FXs), everything was constantly changing there, so nobody noticed anything at all - this break was 10 minutes long. I'll even say more - many people didn't notice that I was playing live and it's a big and separate topic for discussion.

and the second time I paused was when organisators brought me food around five o'clock and my set just had passed the equator. By that time I had also managed to make up a multi-layered 3-4 minute loop that could have been played for an hour and hardly anyone would have understood anything, but of course it was played for about 15-20 minutes and during that time I ate food, drank tea, lit another stick of super hit (I gave a couple of pieces to two different children who liked the smell of this incense very much) and drank chinese Shu, which I had prepared 1.5 liters for that day and this amount of which was enough for the whole live-set.

What's in the end?
Of course, it's a power-pressing expirience, but when, if not now to try the impossible, to be true to your ideals and carry this energy of calmness, dreaming, something light and a bit psychedelic? When not now to share with people the love for music as phenomenon, playing the music and give the inner balance?

I'm glad it was with me and with those who were at least partially around me - Vitalik and Lena, Zhenya and Vasya, Luda and Jenya, Misha and Danya and all the others - I was incredibly warm with you, Chernogolovka is really that place where I breathe free with full chest

and finally - of course, I played the blanks on the basis of which I improvised, but believe me, these blanks were not more than half - this is a very strong and important moment for me, that people at my performance can hear something that probably will never be heard anywhere else.

Научно-образовательный фестиваль "Тушите свет", который прошёл в Черноголовке судя по отзывам в их ТГ-канале более, чем удался и мне было очень приятно принять участие в этом всём, но как обычно уже для Черноголовки без помощи Виталия Александровича не вышло бы всё так гладко, как в итоге вышло.

в общем добрались мы на локацию за 15-20 минут до начала и с опозданием в 10 минут я стартовал. помню отчётливо, что первый час я отыграл просто на кураже и местами вообще отключался от того, что вокруг меня происходит, да и активность была ещё на фестивале плавная.

но чем дальше, тем больше чего-то начало происходить, подходили люди по делу и без, но в целом сильно это меня не отвлекало — я был поглощён лайвом практически всё время и максимально вкладывался в музыку, когда были силы на это вкладывание.

конечно, были моменты, когда у меня всё провисало, очень это сложно представить, чтобы музыкант смог на уровне отыграть 9 часов без остановок и именно вот эти провисы у меня периодически случались в первую половину лайва (справедливости ради скажу, что их было не так уж и много), но потом что-то в голове перещёлкнуло и я совсем перестал воспринимать происходящее на уровне отвлекающих факторов и просто всем подряд улыбался и крутил ручки, нажимал клавиши, звенел в колокольчики, дудел на флейте, нажимал на лепестки калимбы и последние три часа играл в основном на гитаре.

было всё и даже то, что я вообще не думал и не представлял, что сыграю. в конце так и вовсе настолько было чиллово и уютно, что я с Дабри пошёл чуть погулял и послушал всё это со стороны и обрадовался тому, что это очень даже годно звучит. в общем я бы сам посетил такой концерт, не весь конечно, но хотя бы его часть (!)

и тут возникает естественный вопрос как же 9 часов лайва рубить без обычных потребностей?
а никак. в случае с синей кабинкой у меня был на тот момент рандомный арпеджиатор с микрокоржа, пропущенный через всю мою кухню, там всё постоянно менялось, поэтому сильно никто вообще ничего не заметил — этот перерыв был длительностью в 10 минут. я даже больше скажу — многие не заметили, что я играл лайв и это большая и отдельная тема для рассуждения и отдельного поста, который я может быть когда-то и решу написать, ну да ладно.

а второй раз я приостанавливался, когда мне принесли еды в районе пяти часов и мой сэт перевалил за экватор. к тому моменту я тоже успел наворотить многослойный 3-4-минутный луп, который мог играть целый час и вряд ли бы кто-то вообще чего понял, но конечно играл он минут 15-20 и за это время я поел еды, попил чайку, зажёг очередную палочку super hit (пару штук я подарил двум разным детям, которым очень понравился запах этих благовоний) и попил Шу, которого на тот день заготовил 1,5 литра и количества которого мне хватило ровно на весь сэт.

что по итогу?
конечно, это силовыжимательный экспириенс, но когда, как не сейчас пробовать невозможное, быть верным своим идеалам и нести эту энергетику спокойствия, мечтания, чего-то светлого и немного психоделичного? когда как не сейчас делиться с людьми любовью к музыке, в музыке и внутренним балансом?

я рад, что это было со мной и с теми, кто хоть частично был рядом — Виталик и Лена, Женя и Вася, Люда и Женя, Миша и Даня да и все остальные — мне было несказанно тепло с вами, Черноголовка это и вправду то место, где я дышу полной грудью уже в третий раз (!)

и конечно, я играл заготовки, на основе которых импровизировал, но поверьте мне, этих заготовок было не больше половины — это очень для меня сильный и важный момент, что люди на моём выступлении могут услышать что-то, что возможно больше нигде и никогда не прозвучит.
